Dr. Gaggan Basra

Dr. Gaggan Basra grew up in the Greater Vancouver Area and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She then went on to graduate from Pacific University College of Optometry located in Forest Grove, Oregon. During her schooling, she also trained at the Fresno Veterans Affairs Hospital in California focusing primarily on ocular disease and therapeutics. Following graduation, she returned back home and gained valuable experience working throughout the Greater Vancouver Area.
The following year she moved to Calgary and started working with the My Optometrist Calgary group. She currently works at Sunridge Vision Centre but previously also had the pleasure of working out of the Three Hills office. She is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi and is able to conduct examinations in both languages.
Dr. Basra enjoys comprehensive eye care and believes in the importance of listening to patient concerns to best address their needs. In her free time, Dr. Basra enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys travelling and exploring the beautiful Rockies.
