This philosophy was incorporated into the design of the MyoVision spectacle lens by Zeiss. The MyoVision lens uses a technology called Peripheral Vision Management, which allows for clear central vision and simultaneous movement of the peripheral image in front of the retina. Initial research has shown that this technique reduced the rate of progression of myopia by an average of 30% in East and Southeast Asian children between the ages of 6 and 12, with a parental history of myopia.
