Dr. Tannis Rode is one of our lovely doctors at Three Hills Optometry. She completed a Biology degree at the University of Calgary, before entering the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo. In addition to the comprehensive University of Waterloo Optometry Degree program, Dr. Rode gained valuable experience from an externship at an ophthalmology centre in Texas (Houston Eye Associates), where she received training on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ocular diseases. She graduated with honours in 2014. Following graduation, Dr. Rode spent two years working in south-western Ontario, before returning to her home province of Alberta.

I’m good at removing metal from eyes. Many people don’t realize that optometrists are trained to deal with eye emergencies and infections, and we can usually schedule you in a lot quicker than a medical centre.
