Dr. Manvinder Sandhu graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2012.
Dr. Sandhu has worked in various internships throughout the U.S. allowing him to gain extensive experience in diagnosing and managing ocular disease. During his last year of internship, Dr. Sandhu had the privilege of working beside specialists at the University of Kentucky Hospital’s Department of Ophthalmology.
During his tenure there, Dr. Sandhu managed and treated patients through the Emergency Eye Care Clinic, providing direct care for pre-operative and post-operative cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgery patients.
Prior to Optometry school, Dr. Sandhu graduated from the University of
Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. He is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu and is able to conduct examinations in all three languages.
Dr. Sandhu has extensive experience in Primary Care Optometry, with a special interest in nutrition for eye health, workplace visual assessment, computer vision, eye surgery co-management, ocular disease, and contact lens fittings.
In his free time, Dr. Sandhu enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, working out, and watching the latest movies.
