Updated July 14, 2021 - As we anticipate you and your family may be anxious to get your eyes checked and eyewear updated, we wanted to reassure you that at My Optometrist Calgary, we continue to keep our patients and teams safe by adhering to all COVID-19 mandates from Public Health and the Alberta College of Optometrists at all our 3 locations.
Our Safety Protocols, And What We Ask of You:
- All of our Optometrists have been vaccinated.
- Staff members will be wearing masks when with a patient.
- Wearing personal protective equipment including masks for patients is now optional.
- Sanitization stations remain available.
- Use of screen dividers between instruments where possible.
- Increased spacing between patients in the clinic.
- UV sterilization of all frames and other applicable products in the clinic.
- Our practices have oversized exam rooms and hallways to better social distancing.
- Our main practice Health First Optometry is over 4,500 square feet with an oversized dispensary, hallways and lobby for overflow.
- Screening all team members remains.
- For patients, we ask that if you are feeling unwell to please reschedule your appointment.
- Appointments are available for eye exams, frame selections, and glasses pick up.
- Walk-ins are now welcome, but there may be a wait time prior to being seen.
- Limit the number of attending people to the appointment except for those being tested and a caregiver (if needed).
- Adapting our protocols to use the safest test methods.
- We offer online ordering for eye care products for curbside pickup or delivery.
